Justine Tries Things: Hemp Coffee

Hello friends! I'm back with more product testing and reviews for all of you with @buddhabeanscoffee!

I've been hearing a lot about the benefits of CBD and, to be honest, have not had a ton of experience with infusing CBD into my wellness routine. CBD is a cannabinoid that comes from the cannabis plant. However, it does not give off the sensation of a high. This is characteristic of the THC portion of the cannabis plant.

One thing that I came across was a coffee that is infused with CBD and claims to provide all the benefits of coffee without the anxiety of the jitters. Many of you may know me as someone who is OBSESSED with coffee and must have it every morning. However, it often makes my hands shaky, which is incredibly problematic for when I need to write anything for work or for grading papers.

So, I decided to give this one a try.

The first thing that I noticed was the super cute packaging. The actually bag it came in looked straight out of a trendy insta coffee page:

Upon trying it, I realized that it tastes exactly like regular coffee (which is GREAT). I'm not sure what I expected, but I did fear that it would have some funky taste to it. However, it tasted great! Also, I added a little bit of this 0-calorie salted caramel syrup (Skinny Syrups) which made it taste like it came from a trendy lil coffee shop. Super smooth! After a couple hours, I realized that I did not have any jitters or anxiety, but still managed to stay awake.

Overall, I would say that it amounted to being a pleasant experience. My only critique would be that I would hope that, in the future, there is more variety in the flavors that are offered. It would be nice to see the selection expand a bit! The two I tried were the Burundi and the Ethiopia:

Of course, I definitely see their expansion as something that comes with time since they are a relatively new company. If you would like to purchase some for yourself, click here and use the code "ESOR" for 10% off!
