How to be a "Rebel"

Lately, I have had a difficult time finding a cute shoe that works for any season. However, I stumbled across Rebels Footwear a while ago and fell madly in love with their Rally Black Boot! It is super comfortable and fits just right with no blistering or chafing of my heel. The boot itself goes with literally anything I wear in absolutely any season! It is super versatile and works with a warm winter outfit. Pictured above, I styled the boot with a Spring time outfit and had to do quite a bit of walking to get to this photo spot. I did a bit of climbing and pavement walking with the shoes and absolutely loved it! They stayed clean and comfy throughout the entire shoot and went super well with the outfit altogether.
The real magic came when I had the opportunity to sit down with the Social Media Manager of @rebels_footwear, Brittany Harper.
At this point, I learned about the heart and soul that goes into making such a stellar shoe
What is the main purpose or mission statement of Rebels Footwear?
Rebels is a brand to help women feel confident and unique through fashion. We value quality and believe women should not only look amazing in what they are wearing, but also feel like their shoes are so comfortable that they can take on the world. We create designs that can be worn by females of all ages!
What do you hope to achieve?
We hope to make styles that are stylish for work, school, vacation, festivals, or a day out. It is important to make styles that can by worn by all ages and unite women.
How has social media helped your cause?
Social media makes it easier to build a community of people who all have similar interests. The people who follow Rebels love not only fashion and shoes, but enjoy a lifestyle full of organization and adventure. We are able to chat with our followers and see how they style our shoes which inspires us. It also helps show us what styles people are liking, other stores they shop at, and what kind of lifestyle they live!
Tell us about your personal journey in social media marketing! How did you get involved with Rebels Footwear?
I started in social media with a music company called Universal Music Group. I worked on the collegiate marketing team and ran our department's Instagram account. I was always interested in photography, and now social media is a big part of being a photographer or visual artist. I got involved with Rebels through a coworker who knew the brand. He said they were looking for someone to take over and I was already a HUGE lover of shoes so I had to be a part of it!
How has your community grown through social media? What things are you proud about in terms of your community and the positivity within it?
I just started out a couple of months ago in this role, but as I touched on before our community has grown through women tagging us in their posts and us getting to see what they are liking and how they live their lives. We also interact with local boutiques and other brands online to support them and get inspired! I am proud of our brand and account for being a community for working females who want to stay fashionable. Recently, it was International Women's Day and we shared a pro-female quote to spread positivity and awareness for females around the world! It's small things like that which spread positivity and unite us with our customers.
